The Palm Springs Aerial Tram, which is also considered as the world's largest rotating tram car, began in 1963 as a means to get from the floor of Coachella Valley towards the top of San Jacinto Peak and was built in Chino Canyon.

While aboard for about 10 minutes, you will see the beautiful and amazing views of the valley floor. And once you get to the Mountain Station that's towering 8,516 feet, there are restaurants, observation decks, natural history museum, documentary theaters and more.

If you are into golfing, you would love it here. Palm Springs is one of the top destinations for golf activities. Some of the notable golf courses are The Golf Club at Terra Lago, Indian Wells Golf Resort, Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort, Indian Canyons Golf Resort, Classic Club, The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort and Spa, and more.

The former mayor of Palm Springs, Sonny Bono, was known to be one of the biggest promoters of Palm Springs International Film Festival in its early years in the late 80s. It is held annually every January and run by the Palm Springs International Film Society. Fast forward to present, it is now getting extensive media coverage annually, attracting big stars and huge attendance that many considers it to be among the top 3 festivals in North America.

Many Palm Springs tourists enjoy their night life at the pool or by the poolside of their mid-century modern inspired home. But if one would like to explore and have some fun night, popular options would be Seymour's, Toucan's Tiki Lounge, Neil's Lounge, Shanghai Reds, Village Pub, Hunters Nightclub and a lot more.
